    Ever had a feeling..........

Do you ever get a feeling that something is not right? Or the feeling that something bad will happen?
I have had those feelings many times, and whenever I have, I usually hear some bad news. Sometimes from distant friends/aquaintences/news items, other times from people close to my heart.
I even had recurring dreams of the 9/11 plane crashes, for two years before they happened, and they stopped after that tragic day.
Anyway, today I have felt so low and filled with dread, and I didn't really know why.
I have had so much going on recently, I've been on an emotional rollercoaster, and to top it off, yesterday my son was laid off from his job, and he is gutted, which, in turn, makes me gutted, as there is nothing that I can do to help.
So I thought that maybe, that was why I was feeling as I did today.
But a very dear, close friend has just rang me with some terrible news.
His 8 year old grandson has been involved in a road accident and he was killed instantly!!!
What on earth do you say when someone tells you that?
There are no words that could possibly offer any comfort in such a tragedy!
I can only imagine what they are going through.
I lost my step-son in tragic circumstances 4 years ago, and that was an awful time, and still hurts to this day, but to lose your own flesh and blood is unimaginable.
All I can do, is be a shoulder for my friend, as it has fallen on his shoulders to make all the arrangements, and he has to be strong for his family, especially his daughter.
My heart goes out to them all.

    Bad hair day????????

As some of you will know, I dyed my hair purple when I turned 40, or should I say "Ultra Violet", as it says on the box!
Anyway, when it is growing out, inevitably, it fades to a reddish colour, and when its in desperate need of re-doing, it goes "mucky brown", as Leah tells me!!!!Sarcastic
Well, it was at that stage again, so off I pop to Superdrug for my dye. But they didn't have any ultra violet! OMG!!! My hair was worse than mucky brown, so I needed something!
Along the shelf, there was another one called "mystic violet".
It looked the same colour as the ultra violet, so, hey, why not?Thinking
So, last night, I set about putting the colour on my hair, and, even though the mixture was a completely different colour, I still carried on.
Well, no sooner had I put it on, and my head started stinging, my eyes were watering and the hairs in my nostrils were burning!!!!
Still, I kept it on for the required time, even though Soph kept saying take it off!
20 minutes later, time to wash it off!
I really thought that my hair was going to fall out,Confused
All rinsed, I dared to look in the mirror!!!!
    AAAARRRGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My hair wasn't violet, it was bloody BLACK!!!!!!!!!
    I looked very gothic!!!!!Embarrassed
It is sooo dark, I can't get used to it, and as I have fair skin, I looked awful!
In some light it looks purple, sometimes it looks blue, and other times it just looks black!
But, the kids said it looks ok, and a couple of my friends have said it looks nice, so maybe I'll get used to it.
I just need a haircut now, maybe that will make me feel better about it.Tongue out
So, that will teach me for being impatient, and not going to another shop to find the right colour!!!!!
    What do you think?

    My amazing children.....

My kids just never cease to put a proud smile on my face!Open-mouthed
Last year, Sophie was nominated for Matis Student of the Year, and Enterprise Student of the Year.
She was runner up in Matis, but she won Enterprise Student of the year, for her business idea and how she would go about getting started, etc....
Anyway, she text me at work today, to say that her tutor had put her name forward for something else, and she is now shortlisted for National Student of the Year!!!! Surprised
So, Sophie and I have to go to Newcastle in November, for a posh bash, and Sophie's Head of Department, has said that she has either got 1st or 2nd place!!!!!
    She is so excited!!!!
And, once again, my tears flowed!!!!!Crying
I am so very proud to have such great kids, that have a good sense of direction, and they are being recognised for their acheivements.
Leah's my published poet, who will go far with her creative writing.
Sophie's my level headed businesswoman, who is also a fantastic Beauty Therapist.
And, Dan is my time served painter and decorator, and soon to be Mechanical Engineer, serving in the Army. ( BTW, his basic training has been put back to 19th January, and he is going to Hertfordshire, instead of Surrey!)Open-mouthed
How lucky am I, to have these amazing young people in my life?
I am ready to burst with pride!!!!!!!!Open-mouthed

Thank you all for your support, it has been so much appreciated.
He is starting his basic training on 17th November, in Surrey. Which means that my baby boy has to leave home,Crying
I am so proud of him, though, and all his hard work and determination has paid off.
Right, back down to earth now, need to shift my butt, as I'm at college 5-9pm.
